Hyacinth Reynolds dedicated over a decade of her life to shaping young minds at Old Harbor High School. As a teacher in the Business Education Department where she taught Accounting, Principles of Business, Economics and Marketing, ultimately becoming the Head of the Department. She began her career under the leadership of Mrs. Enid Golding and later Mr. Guy Jobson. Through her unwavering commitment and exceptional teaching skills, she rose to become the head of the accounting department.
Under her guidance, Old Harbor High School celebrated a significant milestone by achieving its FIRST Grade One CXC student in accounting. Known for her high standards, Mrs. Reynolds demanded nothing short of the very best from her students. Her rigorous approach and dedication to excellence inspired many of her students to excel, with numerous alumni going on to become leaders in their communities and achieving remarkable success.
Even 30-40 years later, many of her former students hold her in high regard, a testament to her lasting impact as an educator. Mrs. Hyacinth Reynolds’ legacy at Old Harbor High School is one of excellence, dedication, and profound influence on the lives of countless students.
